Planning Meeting for Family Night (parents only)

Our Family Night Planning Meeting is this Wednesday at City Streets Restaurant at 7:30 PM. If you cant make it and want to help out, please email  Christine Champion at: cachamp3@comcast.net

As a reminder, the 5th grade voted on the theme of Fun and Funky Friday.

Special bonus- kids eat free on Wednesdays at City Streets! So arrive around 6:30, have dinner with your family and then send your kids home. 🤪 NOTE: the committee meeting is parents only.

Volunteers Needed for Recess Coverage Tomorrow

You’re All So Awesome: Keep the Diaper Donations Coming!

We’re half way through the week and the diaper donations are piling up! Families have until Friday to donate any diapers they would like to. If you’re wondering about diaper need, check this out:

-1 in 3 families report experiencing diaper need

-Disposable diapers cost $70-$80 per month per baby

-Diapers cannot be obtained with food stamps

Friendship and Kindness

Kindness Week kicks off today at Northeast!  There are a few different ways to get involved and participate with your student(s):

Community Thank-you/ Recess Duty Volunteers: We are looking for a few parents to help out with Recess Stations on Thursday, January 31st during each block of recess. The students will be working on a simple project to thank members of the Waltham Community. I have attached a sign-up sheet for each recess. Please sign up to help out.

Diaper Drive
The Diaper Box is up in the Northeast lobby and accepting donations all week.  All diapers will be donated to Waltham’s Diaper Depot, which provides diapers to families in Waltham who are in need. Sizes 4, 5 and 6 are of greatest need.  We accept new packages or opened packages of loose and unused diapers.
